Interstate 40 crosses this park, and most people enter from the north. The fee is $10 without a pass, and you have to be out by early evening. There is no camping. Just before the south exit you can park and walk to this small dwelling of the early inhabitants, rebuilt in the 1930's . Nearby is the largest collection of petrified logs in the whole park, so don't miss this. We saw it after some rain and the wild flowers were out.
